Kevin Hughes is a British writer with a lifelong interest in history and linguistics.

After working for a publishing company for fifteen years, he now works as a freelance copy-editor and writer.

He specialises in the history of religious conflict in Europe, particularly the Reformation and Counter-Reformation periods. Other areas of special interest are: ancient Rome; the dark ages; 20th century Russia; and philosophy. He has a particular interest in the development of the English language and its usage.
